The experience Michael Mosley had, is in common with my experience with Psilocybin. I am Peter de Boer btw. You can ask me all about my experiences with Psilocybin and other drugs so far.

Our employees search around the internet all day to find articles about Psilocybin, Magic Mushrooms, Truffles etc. Yesterday one of our employees found an old article about Hallucinogen Psilocybin.

Mystical Experiences Occasioned by the Hallucinogen Psilocybin Lead to Increases in the Personality Domain of Openness

A large body of evidence, including longitudinal analyses of personality change, suggests that core personality traits are predominantly stable after age 30. To our knowledge, no study has demonstrated changes in personality in healthy adults after an experimentally manipulated discrete event. Intriguingly, double-blind controlled studies have shown that the classic hallucinogen psilocybin occasions personally and spiritually significant mystical experiences that predict long-term changes in behaviors, attitudes and values. In the present report we assessed the effect of psilocybin on changes in the five broad domains of personality – Neuroticism, Extroversion, Openness, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness. Consistent with participant claims of hallucinogen-occasioned increases in aesthetic appreciation, imagination, and creativity, we found significant increases in Openness following a high-dose psilocybin session. In participants who had mystical experiences during their psilocybin session, Openness remained significantly higher than baseline more than 1 year after the session. The findings suggest a specific role for psilocybin and mystical-type experiences in adult personality change.

Getting the most out of your truffles

Greetings trufflers! I recently had a great time with Truffle magic’s psilocybe hollandia and I must say that they are perhaps my favorite truffles to take. That’s quite a tricky statement to make because I enjoy all of the truffles for different reasons. There’s one for every mood and moment but for potency nothing beats the hollandia.

They perhaps suit the more experienced truffler if taken at full dose. However, they can be enjoyed by anyone as long as some key points are taken into consideration. When it comes to psychedelics, dose is extremely important. One’s frame of mind and setting are also key but it is very important to take a dose that works for you and to consume the truffles in the correct way.

Each pack contains 15g of truffles. I have found that half a pack (7.5g) is a good general dose, however with the hollandia I have had amazing experiences taking around 3g even. It depends what you wish to achieve with your trip. If you wish to take a large dose and have a full on trip then, by all means, do what you feel and consume a higher dose. Make sure you create the right environment. Put the phone off the hook, have somewhere comfy to rest. I prefer having no music and very dim lights, but if you do choose to have music make sure it is appropriate.

Another thing to keep in mind is that for best results you should take the truffles on an empty stomach. Wait at least 4 hours after your last meal to take them. Or take the truffles first and eat a little while after. I’ve heard that it is not good to take the truffles with sweet things as it can reduce their effect. I have taken the truffles with banana’s before and not noticed any impact but in general it is best to take them on their own and to chew them down well. I like to eat them mindfully, focusing on what I’m doing. I strive to eat this way in general so it’s only natural I apply this to truffle munching.

On a practical note, if you do not wish to consume a whole bag at once and prefer to leave a considerable amount of time between your trips, to get the most out of one bag you could take a few simple steps to preserve them. The first is drying them with a dehydrator (on the lowest setting to preserve as much of the properties as possible). You could also freeze them, although I don’t really recommend this as when defrosted then can be gloopy and unappealing. But, hey if you don’t mind that go ahead! You could also make truffle oil by storing the truffles in a bottle of oil and leaving it to infuse. They should keep well this way stored away from heat and direct sunlight. Personally I think nothing is better than eating them fresh. If you don’t want to take them all at once, share them with a friend!

Happy truffling!

First of all sorry for my English, I’m Spanish. I must inform you that I am quite happy with your magic truffles. I expected them to be more loose but they are really powerful. The trip was really well. I was with my friends in a house in the countryside because we were going to eat 6 portions for 8 people. The girls ate the softer: the Mexicana and Pajaritos. The boys ate the strongest: Hollandia (Wow!), Atlantis and Tampanensis.
For almost all people the experience was as followed: initially they started small visual effects and an uncontrollable laughter, then intensified visual effects, things changed color and shape. The faces of my friends had waves and changed color. A painting in which there was a woman, became a painting with a man!

Personally, I lost track of time and I didn’t know what time or day it was, it was like being in a dream in 3D hahaha!!! Lasted some 4 or 5 hours, was going down slowly and the best part is that after the trip you are very well!

On the other hand, I am also very happy with your service, you are really fast and discrete.

In the coming weeks we will send another order, me and my friends have been very pleased.

Was just surfing on the internet finding this great website. Created the order at monday, received it friday.

I received it in an envelope with padding on the inside. Excitedly, I tore it open to see little brown lumps sitting inside. The quality was great, it smelled like a fresh harvest indeed. Plopping them into my mouth, I chewedthem and was greeted by an earthy, nutty taste. They could be cooked, but of course, that is not what I ate them for!

The trip begins

Onset begins. A tingle in my body, a pleasurable chill, waves of mysterious sensation, but also quite inviting. My imagination begins to perceive the sun as a variety of new and exciting entities–a blistering frothy ball of gold, a crystalline Ra figure moving in radial ripples. I smile, feeling this grin permanently slapped on to my face. I laugh, for this world of fantastical shapes, and when I close my eyes there are fleeting neon silhouettes. I go to my room, turn on a playlist, think, and write, in an introspective exercise.

Truffle playlist

First Song: Journey in Satchidananda by Alice Coltrane.
It is beginning. I’m feeling it! I feel the song’s colours, they reverberate in my heart. I feel the languid melt, the ecstatic weave and twine of the sitar, resonating harmonically with my train of thought. So clear! The bass, the SCREECHING saxophone, It Is True Love!! I want these colours in my heart, pumping the blooming blossoming bubbling music into my vessels, I want this forever and always!

(at this point, I dance, lie down, and chat with some friends)

Second Song: Transcendental Etude No. 4, Mazeppa by Franz Liszt.
This one hits me like a train. The thundering exorcism I hear it, from the mind of the performer, to the cortices of the brain, neuroreceptors which influence empathy and passion go haywire, pouring their cognitive impulses
into the execution of the composition, the incredibly complex constructs being rendered as visceral, eternal love…..the nervous system flying on a plane of joy, I hear the heart coming out through the fingertips and ONTO
the piano keys!!! This is a joy if there ever was one. A bliss.

Third Song: La Novia, by Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO

Fourth Song: Goojjari Todi by Ali Akbar Khan

Fifth Song: Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd

Sixth Song: Shadow Lay by Anonymous (1976)

Seventh Song: Love Cry by Four Tet

Eighth Song: What Would I Want? Sky by Animal Collective

Ninth Song: Cocoon by Bjork

Tenth Song: How Deep Is The Ocean by Chet Baker

(because i wanted to truly soak the rest of my playlist in, I chose to
write not to write notes, so these are my reflections afterwards.)

I dive in, from the opening mantra, to the raging sitar, the bass, the scorching drums… it all opens up on me, and in a good sweet epiphany, I feel the conflict and peace, the reason and lack thereof, the theatre and primal urges of the mind, a dream of unity…. all my trains of thought merge together and I sink into my closed eyes…. alluring, shifting, drifting lines and shapes, all colours, a lotus, crysanthemums…. jazz rhythms, diverging and converging frequencies, patterns…. I love. I love. I love. I feel love. The glistening and somber hope and coziness of Bjork, the aching whispering love forgotten of Chet Baker. But now, I have finished soaking in the music, and I must get up and look around, and stimulate all of my senses.

Afterwards, I meet up with some friends, hang out with them, and as usual, enjoy life. The hallucinations are light and pleasantly mild (and, due to the sensory stimulation of the outdoors, are more drowned out than they
were whilst listening to music in a dark room) and die out by sunset. Overall, I loved the experience, it was a great trip! Thanks for the truffles, guys.

Viva hollandia!

C: ”We had a very pleasant time enjoyn truffle magic and making music in the nature and listen to the aliens ^_^”

Girl next door: “It was great! The only way i can explain is that the room danced with me and i got an incredible euphoric feeling. Next time i want to try a full portion!”

Jacob: “The Hollandia Truffles were quite simply amazing… i was always sceptical of truffles but these blew me away.”

Pete: “Great truffles best iv ever had! shared the bag between 2 friends had a great night, trufflemagic were super at delivery no bother getting it to the door! they are the most potent truffles i have had great with tea!”

Sharon: “Absolutely incredible – mindblowing visuals, incredible head high. Truly an awesome experience. Keep up the good work!”

Me and my friend: “The effect on me was very asome! i had to laugh al the time, just like my friend i did the truffels with. The gras had never been so beautifull and green as with this truffels. i felt warm inside and i loved my plants like their where familly.”

Fré: “I loved listening to music, I sank away into my chair with really deep (but nevertheless) thoughts about life. Whenever I looked at my lights in the room, it felt like I saw heaven. I was happy, quiet and felt warm all over my body.”

Hyung: “My body felt extremely relaxed and happy while music was only making the entire experience feel that much better. I saw visuals two to three hours into the trip and that was quite fun as well. A lot of objects for me felt cubic while also seeing vivid colors. I can’t really explain it, you just have to try it out yourself.”

“Both me and my friend received our blank envelope full of truffles within a few days of ordering. We decided to eat half a portion straight away and walk to the centre of the small village near the coast of England in which we live. Within an hour of our hike I felt a happy push in every cell of my body. The world around me appeared to intense, more vivid, and utterly magical. I felt like this was the normal way to see and that our everyday reality is the true illusion. I am quite an analyser, but in this state of mind all interest in thinking was lost. On Hollandia truffles the mystery of my existence is no longer a problem that needs to be solved, it is a reality to be experienced. And experiencing is what we did for six hours straight. We laughed our balls off and decided to share the second portion asap.

Two days later we visited London and after a heavy night of drinking we ate the rest of our truffles for breakfast. The half portion kicked in within 10 minutes. This time it was way more intense. I was hallucinating like there was no tomorrow and the only words I could utter were “dude”, “duuuuuude” and “duuuuuuuuuuuude I’m tripping balls” . When the sun shined over the busy streets of London patterns formed all around us and we barely made it to the park. It was when we walked into the shifting green fields and tunnels of foliage that my friend became sick and puked her brains out. “This is it,” she said, ”I’m done with shrooms.” I felt a bit nauseous as well so we decided to get out of the park and eat something more substantial than truffles. We went to one of the best restaurants in town and ordered a McChicken, fries, and coffee. We thoroughly loved the artwork on the wall and we started to enjoy ourselves.

The depictions of London streets were painted in exactly the matter as I perceived London that day. When we walked around town with filled bellies we had to stop on every street corner to make sure that we were really seeing what we were seeing. No words can describe the world we were in. It was beautiful, peaceful, and we felt at home. We walked all day till the sunlight was replaced with streetlight. At the end of the day our
vomiting adventurer that swore off magic truffles eight hours earlier, proclaimed that she was going to *literally* trip across the world with a backpack full of truffles. I would love to join her.

All in all I highly recommend the hollandia truffles to everyone. You are in for an experience to remember.”

I heard about the hollandia truffles from a friend, and decided to give it a try. I received my truffles in about a week’s time, in a sealed plastic bag into a discreet envelope. I have had a couple of experiences with psychedelics, though nothing as intense as these truffles. The overall feeling was not unlike what i get from weed, though it was obviously a lot more intense and interesting. I started feeling dizzy about 20 minutes after eating the whole bag, so I decided to crash onto my bed, my eyes closed, and put on some nice music. The first minutes felt very nauseous, and I was afraid i might be sick, but the nasty feeling got away quite soon. The visuals were very intense, and I felt some sort of “distortion” in the way i perceived reality.

The hallucinations were really intense, almost overwhelming: at first I had to assume a sort-of fetal position, because lying supine really felt too intense. Eventually, and with some effort, I managed to get into that position, and that’s where the real fun started: my perception of gravity and the position of my body was disaligned, and I felt like I was fluctuating on a gigantic whirl. The music I was listening to felt much deeper and intense, and the visuals were influenced by it.

Soon I lost track of my body, aside from some random signals it sent to my mind, which appeared in between the mass of sensations, colours and sounds. Sometimes I opened my eyes, and saw most of the hallucinatory visuals taking place in the real world. For istance, during the first part of the trip I saw some sort of words moving around. When I opened my eyes, I saw them glowing all over the room, sort of “printed” on most surfaces – the ceiling, my pillow, the furniture…

After the CD ended, I started to hear a distant ringing, which grew progressively stronger as it became more and more multilayered and powerful, to the point where it was almost deafening. I really enjoyed it (though I don’t know how many people would like something like this, as I enjoy listening to rather peculiar music which would be really unpleasant to lots of people), despite its overwhelming intensity. Eventually it faded in the background, as I regained consciousness of my body.

The most intense part lasted around 2-3 hours, and the rest was mostly subtle visuals. Overall it was a really intense, interesting and enjoyable experience. I really recommend it.

I will admit that my first voyages into the world of psychedelics were purely for fun. At the time I didn’t have much of an idea of their many layers and dimensions. This is perhaps the way many people approach this kind of substance at the beginning and it is, of course, always good to have fun!

However, something interesting became apparent to me rather quickly- when taken with the appropriate awareness and focus, psychedelics and especially truffles, are an immensely useful tool for self exploration, understanding and ultimately self healing.

My thoughts on this are based purely on my own experiences and those of people I know but I have read quite a few studies and testimonials online that verify these thoughts. The reason I highlight Truffles in this sense is that they are able to give you a trip that is fun and enjoyable or deep and insightful (or both) easily and without any negative effects.

I have used truffles many times and I have found them to be a great way of getting a peek into the nooks and crannies of your subconscious mind. You know, the place where we push all those thoughts and feelings we’d rather not deal with… well they don’t disappear, and it is my belief that it is good to face these things from time to time and give your mind a good spring clean (or winter clean!) so that you can feel good and have room in there for things that you actually want.

One night on truffles could do more for you than several years in therapy. I’m no psychologist and I am not saying it works for everyone but since this is my blog post I feel a duty to be honest. I also feel very akin to anyone out there exploring the psychedelic realms especially for the first time. So much scaremongering goes on surrounding these things, when in actual fact truffles (and many other psychedelics) are helpful and benign substances when used correctly. I have gotten a lot more out of truffles than I could have ever imagined. Often if one has a negative experience it is a reflection of something inside that person coming up for inspection. Often people who have a “negative” experience try to blame the poor mushroom when it is only doing its job. Roll up your sleeves, be courageous and take responsibility for whatever your trip brings you.

I also find that having respect or an air of reverence surrounding the trip is a good thing, I don’t know why, but Lady Truffle does seem to respond well to those who are humble in her presence and those who take the time to treat the experience with the care it deserves. Personally, I don’t partake in rituals or anything like that when I take the truffles. All I do is make sure I take them when it feels right, keep a presence of mind and have some idea of what I wish to get out of it. I’m sure everyone takes truffles in different ways. One thing I have not yet done is take truffles and do actual mirror work…. You know, staring into the mirror while tripping? Now that would be interesting…

Greetings trufflers! I was listening to the beach boys today trying to create a summer mood during what is a rather grey day here in Zaluna land and some lyrics got me thinking. We know that Truffle magic have excellent service. They deliver swiftly in plain packaging and the post man will never know what he is putting through your letter box! Your flat mates will have no idea either, heck even you won’t and may do as I did one day and pick up your post while rushing out to work, open it on the train and break into a sweat thinking the entire carriage will know what you are holding in your hands! Well, they won’t. The truffles are vacuum packed and have absolutely no odor. They are small and discreet.

Having said this, if one is a minor and living at home exercise caution. If you are not blessed with open minded parents (who may try to steal them for themselves!) you may wish to not risk it. I think that, when given a pack of truffles in their hands most people will have no idea what they are, but your parents may have some clue and they may not be happy about it. Smoke might come out of their ears. Or worse they may storm into your room, whilst you are deep in trip mode, asking why you haven’t done the dishes yet. You might find your response funnier than they will.

Be courageous but most of all be responsible
